The map is connected to a database table of HnK offices around the world. Each office is listed with a set of GPS coordinates, which are converted by the PHP middleware script into x,y coordinates on the map at display time. The map also uses the GPS coordinates to determine a time offset from the user's system clock, to display an approximate time of day for each office (useful when trying to figure out whether it's safe to call an office halfway around the world).
